Wind

Wind energy capitalizes on the kinetic energy of motion to produce electricity. Wind energy generation is site-specific, and there are many variables that must be considered before investing in a wind turbine.

Because of the hills and mountains in western PA, the following variables need to be measured in order to properly install a wind turbine: the size of the property, the wind speed at the location, barriers around the location (trees and buildings), local township and municipality ordinances, etc. It is best to call Vox Energy Solutions a free consultation to determine if a site is able to support wind properly.

How it works: The blades of a wind turbine collect the wind’s kinetic energy. The wind flows over the blades creating a lift causing the blades to turn. The blades are connected to a shaft that turns an electric generator that produces electricity for a home or business.
